Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Denzel Perryman was arrested on weapons charges during a traffic stop for vehicle code violations and remained in jail as of Saturday, according to law enforcement officials.

During the traffic stop on Friday evening, Los Angeles Sheriff’s deputies found five firearms, including two assault weapons, in Perryman’s vehicle, as stated by the agency. The 32-year-old player was reportedly cooperative with deputies throughout the incident.

Perryman was booked on felony charges and is currently being held without bond at the South Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station, according to the sheriff’s department. paul alvarez Agent Ron Butler confirmed that his client has not yet been released from custody.
